Zebra Mussels

At the Stockbridge Boat Ramp, boat washing will begin on Friday, May 24 from 7 am to 7 pm, seven days per week until Columbus Day. When a boat comes to the ramp, the inspector checks for zebra mussels or the microscopic velegers. The inspector then asks on which lakes the boater has been previously, if the water body is known infected, and if the owner has decontaminated the water craft.  If not, the boat is washed before being allowed to enter the Bowl.  The owner then signs a form and places it on his vehicle dashboard so that it can be checked.
